Bishop Pablo Virgilio David of Kalookan was briefly banned from Facebook following his viral post criticizing President Rodrigo Duterte.
The bishop said he lost access to his social media account for around two hours Thursday as Facebook administration accused him of “phishing”.
“I was blocked. I got some advice on how to revive it,” David said.
The prelate on Wednesday evening posted a photo of her mother and a statement criticizing Duterte for calling him “son of a whore”.
In a speech on Tuesday, Duterte again chided David for supposedly attacking him from the church pulpit.
The church official belied the allegation, saying “the pulpit is never for that purpose”.
As of Thursday afternoon, Bishop David’s post got more than 7,000 shares and around 11,000 likes.
