GOD
“What does God the Father look like? Although I’ve never seen Him, I believe – as with the Holy Spirit – He looks like Jesus looked on earth.” – Benny Hinn
The writings of the prophets invite us to find renewed strength in times of trial by contemplating the all-powerful God who created the universe. (Pope Francis, LS #73)
God is intimately present to each being, without impinging on the autonomy of his creature, and this gives rise to the rightful autonomy of earthly affairs. (Pope Francis, LS #80)
REFLECTION: God loves us from the beginning, and it is in freedom that we respond to His unfailing love by loving Him back, through expressing it to other creations. In relation to the present situation, wherein little by little, the beauty of God’s creation is vanishing into the air, due to human acts of selfishness. God made humanity to take good care of the environment so that the basic interconnectedness among His creations will bring about beauty and harmony. In this way, the next generations will not only see the beauty of what the Lord has made, but also how God loves humanity and all creations.
Key Statement: God made humanity in order to experience the basic interconnectedness among His creations.
Personal Challenge: I have to be consciously aware and become a witness of God’s presence in all of His creation.
PRAYER
God of beauty and goodness, we praise You through Your creation. Thank you for making us see You as we marvel at the works of Your hands. Amen.
