“Lighten up your load,” I told my wife while
telling myself that the mutual message
works wonders. She has been down in the dumps
because business was bad and the help quit
but it was no sweat, “I can replace her!”
And so it was two months ago today.
Life’s a beach: Bruno was easy to train
to trot, never mind if Bronson wanted
out, too. Ate Janice and Sis Gelly
took turns messaging about an office
outing and a Marian Congress end. I
said we’ll manage without her; Kuya
Patrick was always there. Eva’s other
daughter came with her; Myrna instantly
sized up her foot and regaled her with pairs
of foot-me-downs. I discovered we shared
giving as a therapy for the blues.
Kuya Glenn appreciated that I
could be discreet and surmised libation
cannot be an excuse to spill the beans.
Francis Gross’ friends give him hope and I
am heartened to be myself, a doer
of no big deeds. That I can pursue life
being loyal, serving God and brethren.
Fr. Rex capped it with communion as
for sinners. Christ took the cross so that we
may take Him again and again. I thought,
Dang! if that’s not lighten-enlighten-ing.
